Fostering:
The best thing that can happen to a pet looking for a new home is to live in a loving foster home. But foster homes are in very short supply! If you have a fenced yard and some extra love in your heart, please consider joining our foster program. There are many dogs and cats who need a loving place while waiting for their forever home. For cats, Priest River Animal Rescue requires a warm, safe place in your home.
Call 208-448-0699 and tell us you'd like to know more about becoming a foster parent.
If you don't have room, perhaps you'd like to help purchase another kennel cage so someone else can take one more dog... Your donation could help toward that end, and Priest River Animal Rescue now has an account at Pay Pal... If you'd like to use it to help the animals, click now!
Dogs in kennel cages have blankets, but that's not much help against the cold, hard cement... they'd LOVE to have a soft place to rest.
We prefer Patented Kuranda Dog Beds because they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. If you would like to donate a bed to us, click here.
Dog Training Special:
The photograph below shows Priest River Animal Rescue Volunteers on March 19th, 2011 being trained by Cheryl, owner of Chandrea Farms, on how to train our rescued dogs in basic manners. This training was so helpful to the Volunteers we have asked Cheryl back for further instruction. Priest River Animal Rescue feels having all the dog-handlers trained to work with the dogs consistently will help our rescued dogs be happier, less stressed and easier to adopt.Cheryl has graciously offered a 10% discount on an evaluation or first training class session for any dog adopted from Priest River Animal Rescue. Thank you Chandrea Farms for supporting our efforts. At Chandrea Farms, all training is done in a kind manner allowing the dog time to think for himself to give you the desired response.
